Negotiation is a key part of dispute resolution, which is a significant part of any career in law, whether in the Courts or in negotiation meetings. The ability to listen to both your client and the opposite party to come up with questions and discover new information is key to any successful negotiation.
Participation in negotiations can also give you a leg up in several of your subjects such as Alternative Dispute Resolution as well as greater understanding in subjects such as contracts and corporations law.
