HDR Orientation: Responsibilities and Expectations of HDR Candidates

Target audience: All commencing HDR candidates.

In this this session, we will discuss the policy framework that guides HDR candidates and HDR supervision at the University. It will explore the responsibilities of candidates and their supervisors, as well as what the University expects from HDR candidates in relation to their workload, research activity and research outputs. We will also talk in general terms about how HDR candidates should conduct themselves both at the University and when working with external partners and the wider community.

HDR candidates will have the opportunity to ask questions about what they are expected to do early in their candidature, how they should work with their supervisor, etc.
